AfroEvents ("we", "us", "our") operates the website afroevents.app and the AfroEvents mobile app. We help users discover Afrocentric music events across Europe.

2. Information we collect

• Account data — email address and password (hashed) when you register.
• Social login — name and email provided by Google or Apple when you sign in via those providers.
• Usage data — artists you track, events you view, and preferences you set within the app.
• Push notification tokens — device tokens used to deliver event alerts (Pro subscribers only).
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or payment details.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and improve the AfroEvents service
• To send you event alerts for artists you track (with your consent)
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the service:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Google — authentication (Google Sign-In) and cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud)
• Apple — authentication (Sign in with Apple)
• Sentry — error monitoring

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at cloudchainou@gmail.com. We will delete your personal data within 30 days of a deletion request.

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (JWT tokens stored in localStorage). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
